About the author

Silk Waters resides in rural southwest Texas. Although she wrote all of her life on a personal level, she never put pen to paper for a commercial book until she was in her sixties, when she wrote her first book, Puka The Moose. (This book is also available for sale in our store.) The story I Am An Old Woman came to fruition after her 71st birthday when she was recovering from pneumonia. She enjoys nature, peace and quiet, and a balanced life of body, mind and spirit. She currently is booking appearances for readings should you have a group or audience that is interested. About the Book

In I Am An Old Woman the author frankly discusses not only the aging process, but also the thought of death and life's transformation. Her insights into aging bring laughter, tears and a frankness that she truly believes society needs. "Aging is part of life, so why not enjoy it?" she quips, always bringing to everyone's attention that none of us are in this journey alone, so as a community, we can walk the journey together. "Everything in life is easier with someone by your side to share it with, so lets walk together," she encourages her readers.

About our products

We are proud to say that every one of our products is Made In America by a Woman Owned Business. "This does not reflect a bias against the opposite sex," Ms. Waters states. "It merely is a reflection of a retired business owner that struggled, as a woman owned business, from day one for equal financing, equal competition and wages, and just plain old respect." she concluded. And we do not restrict our products to businesses that are exclusively owned by women. We also accept wife/husband teams and family owned businesses in which the women owns either 50% or a majority of the ownership. The circle of life includes everyone: women, men, children, nature and all of our animal friends. We just wanted to give a special opportunity to women as a kind of amends for all those times when we were set on the back burner by society. We also donate a minimum of 10% of all our profits to local, established nonprofit organizations such as St. Vincent De Paul to provide financial assistance to elders - whether female or male - who are in need for essentials such as utility bills or food.
