About the author
Silk Waters resides in rural southwest Texas. Although she wrote all of her life on a personal level, she never put pen to paper for a commercial book until she was in her sixties, when she wrote her first book, Puka The Moose. (This book is also available for sale in our store.) The story I Am An Old Woman came to fruition after her 71st birthday when she was recovering from pneumonia. She enjoys nature, peace and quiet, and a balanced life of body, mind and spirit. She currently is booking appearances for readings should you have a group or audience that is interested. See our contact information below.
About the Book
In I Am An Old Woman the author frankly discusses not only the aging process, but also the thought of death and life's transformation. Her insights into aging bring laughter, tears and a frankness that she truly believes society needs. "Aging is part of life, so why not enjoy it?" she quips, always bringing to everyone's attention that none of us are in this journey alone, so as a community, we can walk the journey together. "Everything in life is easier with someone by your side to share it with, so lets walk together," she encourages her readers.
